    Behavioral Economics. Theory or Practice
Ilya Panteleev, General Director of Intercomp
Classical economic theory is predicated on the assumption that people make decisions logically: they seek to get the most gain and consider risks. The reality, however, is much more complicated than this economic model. People often make decisions based on their intuition, emotions, moral principles, and beliefs. Our decisions are often irrational, and unpredictably so. Understanding the principles of behavioral economics that explore the causes of people’s behavior in certain situations is undoubtedly necessary for survival on the market and also confers a lot of practical advantages in everyday life.
