It will be easier from January 01, 2018 to verify employers thanks to the introduction of checklists. From then on, labor inspectors will be required to use checklists when they conduct scheduled inspections, and this rule will apply to all employers from July 01, 2018.

Questions related to the activity under review will be included in these checklists. The subject of inspection by state authorities will be limited to the list of questions included in the checklists so labor inspectors will not be entitled to ask questions other than those in the checklists. If they do so, such request will be deemed as a violation.

Rostrud (Federal Employment Service) has approved 107 checklists for state inspection of compliance with the Russian Labor code in 2018. These checklists can be used for self-assessment and for preparation for inspection.

The checklists are published on Rostrud official website. Please note that the checklists have been drafted in Russian only.
